Core program
The general setup of the core program is illustrated in the picture below:
Core courses
The fundament of the program is the course Manufacturing Technology (1CM160) on the principles of manufacturing technology and the roof is the course Integrated System design (4CM70). These two courses are obligatory. The other core courses are sub divided into 5 pillars, each consisting of 2-3 courses.
Pillars
Students choose 1 course out of the compulsary pillar (OML: network design and control; ME: Machine Design and Control).
On top of that, they select 3 other pillars and choose 1 course out of each chosen pillar.
- Pillar 1: Network Design and Control (compulsary for OML)
- Multi-Echelon Inventory Managment (1CM100)
- Design of operations, Planning and Control Systems (1CM140)
- Pillar 2: Machine design and control (compulsary for ME)
- Control Engineering (4CM00)
- Supervisory Control (4CM30) (only for OML)
- Micro Fabrication (4UM00)
- Pillar 3: Factory design and control
- Modelling and Control of Manufacturing Networks (4DM40)
- Modeling and analysis of manufacturing systems (1CM10)
- Pillar 4: AI Design and Control
- Data Analytics for Business Intelligence (1BM110)
- Decision making with Artifical and Computational Intelligence (1BM120)
additional recommended elective (homologation): Data mining and machine learning (2IIG0)
- Pillar 5:Maintenance design and control
- Advanced Maintenance and Service Logistics (1CM120)
- Fracture Mechanics: theory & application (4MM50)
